AGLC4 Rule 25.1.7: Cases: Unreported Cases
An unreported United States case gives the italic case name, then one round bracket with the jurisdiction and court or district, the docket or reference number and the full date, followed by slip op and the pinpoint. The docket number is copied with its letters and punctuation except that full stops are removed. Where the judgment does not begin on page 1 of the slip opinion, give the starting page, a comma and then the pinpoint.

Format
Quoted from the Guide, page 270A boxed element is filled in with the source's details; everything outside a box is written exactly as shown.
Formatting
- No comma separates the italic case name from the opening round bracket.
- Inside the bracket: court or district, a comma, the docket or reference number, a comma, then the full date written as day, month in full and year.
- State courts use the state and court abbreviations of rule 25.1.5.2; federal courts use the circuit or district forms of rule 25.1.5.1.
- After the bracket: a space, the roman lower case words slip op with no full stops, a space, then the pinpoint.
- A starting page and a pinpoint are separated by a comma and a space.
- Without a pinpoint the citation ends at the closing round bracket.
- Unlike a reported case, the pinpoint follows the court bracket rather than preceding it.
