AGLC4 Rule 25.1.6: Cases: Year

The year of decision closes the citation. It follows the jurisdiction and court after a comma inside the same round brackets, or stands alone in round brackets when no jurisdiction or court is required.

Formatting

  • The year is always in round brackets, never square.
  • With a court: a comma and a space separate the court from the year inside one bracket.
  • Without a court: the year alone in round brackets after the starting page, pinpoint or judges' bracket.
