AGLC4 Rule 7.10: Constitutive Documents of a Corporation

A company constitution, charter or articles is cited by the document type in italics, the company name without corporate status words or a leading The, the date at which the version is current, and a provision pinpoint. Use the last update date where shown, otherwise the retrieval date.

Formatting

  • The document type is italic and followed by a comma.
  • The company name is roman and omits Pty, Ltd, Inc and similar status words and any leading The.
  • The date follows after a space in round brackets introduced by at; a month and year is acceptable.
  • The pinpoint follows after a space as a provision abbreviation and number under rule 3.1.4 (for example cl or art), never a page.
  • A URL may follow the pinpoint in angle brackets.
  • The citation ends with a full stop.
