AGLC4 Rule 3.2: Bills

Bills take the same form as Acts, except that neither the title nor the year is italicised. Clause and sub-clause are the usual pinpoint designations. Where Bills share a name and the short title carries a number, that number is kept in brackets.

Formatting

  • The title and the year of a Bill are roman.
  • The order is title, year, jurisdiction abbreviation in round brackets, then pinpoint, as for Acts.
  • Pinpoints normally use cl and sub-cl, with plurals cls and sub-cls; schedule items use sch and item.
  • A number in the short title is kept as No, a space and the numeral in round brackets, placed before the year.
  • Jurisdiction abbreviations are those of rule 3.1.3.
