AGLC4 Rule 3.1.3: Statutes (Acts of Parliament): Jurisdiction

After the year, give the abbreviated name of the jurisdiction that passed the Act, in round brackets and in roman type, using the fixed abbreviations for Australian jurisdictions.

Formatting

  • The jurisdiction is roman, never italic.
  • It is enclosed in round brackets.
  • One space separates the italic year from the opening bracket.
  • Only the listed abbreviations are used, and they take no full stops.
  • A pinpoint, if any, follows the closing bracket after one space.
