AGLC4 Rule 24.3: United Kingdom: Delegated Legislation

Delegated legislation is cited under rules 3.3 and 3.9, with title and year under rule 24.2.1 and jurisdiction under rule 24.2.2, and the instrument number placed between the jurisdiction and any pinpoint. A comma follows the instrument number when a pinpoint is given.

Abbreviation of Instrument Type Year/Number

Formatting

  • The title and year are italic, with any leading The omitted.
  • The jurisdiction follows in round brackets.
  • The instrument number is roman: the type abbreviation, a space, the year, a slash and the number, with no spaces around the slash.
  • The instrument type abbreviation is chosen from the table by jurisdiction and date.
  • A comma separates the instrument number from the pinpoint.
