AGLC4 Rule 2.1.13: Multiple Proceedings between the Same Parties

Where several decisions share the same name, show the decision number in square brackets, but only where that number is actually part of the case name. Where the numbers are not part of the names, distinguishing short titles may be used instead.

Formatting

  • The number is placed at the end of the case name inside square brackets and is italic with the name.
  • The bracket reads No, with a capital N and no full stop, then a space and the numeral.
  • Several numbers in one name use Nos, with and before the last number.
  • Numbers are added only where the decision itself carries them in its name.
  • Descriptive short titles, where used instead, follow the citation in round brackets and curly single quotes, with the title italic (rule 2.1.14).
  • Several citations in one footnote are separated by semicolons.
