AGLC4 Rule 9.2.6: Session (and Part) Number

Give the session number of the organ, committee or other body that produced the document. Where the session is divided into parts, add the part number as well. Session numbers are not given for Security Council resolutions.

Ordinal Number of Session sess

Formatting

  • The session is an ordinal in figures with superscript letters, followed by a space and sess, with no full stop.
  • A part number follows the session after a comma, as an ordinal with superscript letters followed by pt, with no full stop.
  • A comma follows the session (or part).
  • No session number is given for a Security Council resolution.
