AGLC4 Rule 7.8: Looseleaf Services

A print looseleaf service is cited by publisher, italic title, volume, and in brackets the most recent service number for the pinpointed material (or a date), followed by the pinpoint. An online service gives the retrieval date instead of volume and service. An author clearly identified by the service is placed before the publisher.

  • For online, the title is followed by a space and a round bracket containing online at and the retrieval date.
  • The pinpoint is to a paragraph and normally appears in square brackets after a space.
  • Where the service numbers paragraphs with the paragraph symbol, the symbol is placed directly before the number with no space and no square brackets.
