AGLC4 Rule 6.7: Translated Books
A translated book is cited by its translated title, with tr and the translator's name after the title and before the publication details. tr is used for any number of translators. The original title and year may be added after any pinpoint, in a square bracket beginning trans of, where that helps a reader find the book.

Format

Formatting
- The title used is the translated title, in italics.
- A comma follows the title, then tr, a space and the translator's name or names.
- tr stands for translated by and is never pluralised.
- The publication details bracket follows the translator after a space.
- The original title and year may be added after any pinpoint, inside square brackets introduced by trans of and a colon.
- In that bracket the original title is italic and its year is in round brackets.
- For a translated work inside a collection, the work's title is in quotation marks, followed by a comma, tr and the translator, then in and the collection's details.
