AGLC4 Rule 2.8: Submissions in Cases

Cite a submission in a case by the party making it, the submission's title, the words Submission in and the case name, the proceeding number, the full date and the pinpoint. Give an individual party's name in full under rule 4.1, and include the title and proceeding number only where they appear on the submission.

Formatting

  • The party's name is roman; an individual is named in full under rule 4.1.
  • The title is roman, inside curly single quotes, with the comma after the closing quote.
  • Submission in is roman with a capital S.
  • The case name is italic.
  • Every element is separated from the next by a comma and a space, including before the pinpoint.
  • The title and the proceeding number are included only where they appear on the submission.
  • Pinpoints are to pages, paragraphs or both; paragraphs are in square brackets and several are separated by commas.
