AGLC4 Rule 7.1.5: Australian Bureau of Statistics (‘ABS’) Materials

Material from the Australian Bureau of Statistics names the Bureau in full as author and is identified by its catalogue number, so the document type is always Catalogue.

AGLC4 page 109

Formatting

  • The author is written out in full as Australian Bureau of Statistics, roman, never abbreviated to ABS.
  • The title is italic and keeps any date, period or quarter that forms part of it.
  • The bracket reads Catalogue, then No and the catalogue number, a comma and the date.
  • The catalogue number is copied exactly, keeping all of its full stops and segments.
  • A Bureau annual report may alternatively be cited as an ordinary report under rule 7.1.1.
