AGLC4 Rule 24.4.3: Parliamentary Papers

Parliamentary papers are cited with author, title and, in round brackets, the House, the paper number and the session, followed by the pinpoint. A paper presented to both Houses carries both numbers separated by a comma.

A boxed element is filled in with the source's details; everything outside a box is written exactly as shown.

Formatting

  • The author is roman and followed by a comma.
  • The title is italic.
  • Inside the round bracket, the House is written in full, followed by Paper No and the number, then a comma, Session and the session years.
  • Where two Houses are cited, each House and number appears in turn, separated by commas, before the session.
  • The pinpoint follows the closing bracket after a space.
