AGLC4 Rule 2.2.1: Year and Volume
Report series are organised either by volume number or by year. For a series organised by volume, give the year of the decision in round brackets before the volume. For a series organised by year, give the volume's year in square brackets, followed by a volume number where that year has more than one volume.

Formatting
- The year and volume are roman.
- A series numbered by volume takes the year the decision was given, usually but not always the year reported, in round brackets, then the volume number.
- A series organised by year takes the year of the volume in square brackets.
- Where a year-organised series has several volumes in one year, the volume number sits between the square-bracketed year and the series abbreviation.
- Only one year is given; a span of years is never used.
- A single space separates year, volume, series and starting page.
- Where a series changed its method, the method of the volume holding the case governs.
- In a year-organised series the volume's year is given even if the decision is from an earlier year.
