AGLC4 Rule 1.11.5: Decades and Centuries
Decades are written without an apostrophe before the s, and a shortened decade takes an apostrophe in front. Centuries are ordinal numbers following rule 1.10.1.

Formatting
- No apostrophe between the year and the s: 1970s.
- A two digit decade takes a leading apostrophe, a right single curly quotation mark.
- Centuries above the ninth use numerals with superscript ordinal letters.
